DOHA: The Vietnamese Embassy repatriated 41 overseas Vietnamese, including children, labourers and tourists, via Qatar Airways on Saturday. “The successful preparation for the above flight resulted from the enthusiastic assistance, support and coordination from the relevant authorities in Qatar,” the embassy said in a statement.
Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Dinh Thao extended sincere appreciation and thanks to the relevant bodies in Qatar, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport, who provided support and assistance to the embassy in organising the flight.
According to the schedule, Qatar Airways also helped repatriate Vietnamese citizens from Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania to Vietnam on flight QR 970 for Ho Chi Minh City.
