DOHA: Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi has issued Decision No. 20/2020 to restructure the Board of Trustees of the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q).

The decision includes two new members. H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada will remain as Chairman of the board. The two new members are Prof. Mariam Ali Al Maadeed and Dr Asmaa Al Fadala. Remaining on the board are H E Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Dr Muhammad Yusef Al Mulla, Dr Yousef Muhammad Al Hor and Dr Khaled Abdullah Al Ali.

CNA-Q Acting President Dr Salem Al Naemi is a non-voting member.

Big changes

Al Sada said:  “This addition of two extremely well qualified individuals will only serve to strengthen the policies and procedures of the college to move forward. There are big changes coming to CNA-Q. “

He said: “This is the first year we are offering Applied Bachelor Degrees — a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Maintenance Engineering Technology, a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiography.”

He added: “I am also pleased to tell you that we are now in the advanced stages of preparing to transform the college into an applied university.”

CNA-Q offers applied degree and diploma programmes in the fields of Business Management and Information Technology, Engineering and Industrial Trades, and Health Sciences. In addition, the college also offers a wide range of activities, events and student clubs.
