DOHA: Tsumaranai Issogashi (alias Francis Hirro), a Filipino national, has won the first prize in The Doha Globe Champions League Predict the Winner competition. Issogashi gets a cash prize of QR 5,000.
The second prize of QR 2,500 was won by Kimani Kelvin, a Kenyan national.
Prizes were announced for two winners. The first prize was for predicting the winning team and the score. The second prize was for predicting the winning team, irrespective of the score. The second prize winner was selected through a draw as many had predicted the winning team of Bayern Munich.
Hirro works at Advance Contracting System and has been in Qatar for three years, while Kelvin is an Electrical Technician at Arabian MEP and has been in Doha for four years.
German giants Bayern Munich won the UEFA Champions League for the sixth time after beating French side Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 at the final in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon. The competition evoked an overwhelming response from football fans in Qatar.
