DOHA:  Jassim Sultan Al Mosallam from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys (QSTSS) came first in the ‘Future Writers’ competition for his story titled My Name is Human. The fourth edition of the competition was organised by Qatar Charity in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, according to the Ministry’s website.

Al Mosallam, along with Rashid Salem Al Athbah from the same school, progressed to the first-round qualifiers of the competition. Around 2,355 students from 287 different schools nationwide and Qatar University participated in this edition of the contest. Future Writers is a programme that aims at building and developing the creative and cultural ideas of students of all ages. It further seeks to enrich students’ knowledge and awareness by promoting a culture of reading, writing and thinking.
