DOHA: The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) announced the updated calendar of sporting events for this year. The calendar includes amended dates of some international sporting events.

The Diamond League for athletics would be held on 25 September, the second Qatar Men’s International Tennis Federation Championship from 12 to 18 October and the third Squash Federation Championship from 18 to 21 October.

The third Qatar Men’s International Tennis Federation Championship would be held from 19 to 25 October, the first Qatar Youth’s International Tennis Championship from 26 to 31 October and the Qatar Classic World Squash Championship from 1 to 7 November.

The second Qatar Youth’s International Tennis Championship would be held from 2 to 7 November, the 3×3 World Basketball Tour from 20 to 21 November, the fourth Qatar Men’s International Tennis Federation Championship from 7 to 13 December, the fourth Professional Squash Championship from 10 to 14 December and the fifth Qatar Men’s International Tennis Federation Championship from 14 to 20 December.

A number of international tournaments have been postponed to next year, namely the Davis Cup, the 13th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup (men and women), and the table tennis final qualifiers and qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. Two tournaments at the GCC level were also postponed, including the 28th GCC Aquatics Championship and the GCC basketball clubs championship. The updated calendar also added the Doha 2020 ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup which would be held on 4 and 5 December.

As for local sports, Qatar volleyball cup final would be held on September 30, the Qatar basketball cup final on 13 October, the Qatar handball cup final on 14 October, H H the Amir volleyball cup final on 16 October,  HH the Amir handball cup final on 20 October and HH the Amir basketball cup final on 28 October.
