DOHA: Qatar sent more aid to flood-hit Sudan on Thursday. The Qatar Fund for Development, in coordination with the Standing Committee for Rescue and Relief Works and Humanitarian Aids for Afflicted Areas in Brotherly and Friendly Countries sent a new consignment of aid weighing 46 tonnes, comprising medical and relief materials.
This brings the total to 88 tonnes of aid sent so far. The aid was carried by Qatari Amiri Air Force aircraft, accompanied by a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group (Lekhwiya).
