DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday recorded 212 new cases of coronavirus with 216 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 116,111 of people recovered in Qatar..
The Ministry also announced the death of an 84-year-old person, who was receiving necessary medical care. Of the 212 new cases, 206 are community cases and six from travellers returning from abroad
All new cases have been placed in isolation and receiving necessary treatment according to their health status. The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 119,206 with 2,896 active cases under treatment. So far, 199 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,997 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 639,742 the total tests done till date. There were 31 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Two patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases to 60 of people receiving treatment in intensive care.
