DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday recorded 239 new cases of coronavirus with 213 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing to 119,144 the total number of people recovered in Qatar.
Of the 239 new cases, 231 are community cases and eight of travellers returning from abroad. The Ministry also announced the death of an 82-year-old person.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 122,214 with 2,862 active cases under treatment. So far, 208 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,987 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 700,414 the total tests done till date. There are 52 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours, taking to 424 the total number of patients in hospital.
Six patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 55 the total number of cases receiving treatment in intensive care.
