DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Monday recorded 235 new cases of coronavirus with 249 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing to 118,931 the total number of people recovered in Qatar.
Of the 235 new cases, 228 are community cases and seven of travellers returning from abroad. The Ministry also announced two deaths – aged 80 and 81 – all were receiving the necessary medical care.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 121,975 with 2,837 active cases under treatment. So far, 207 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,396 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 695,427 the total tests done till date. There are 47 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours, taking to 411 the total number of patients in hospital.
Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 55 the total number of cases receiving treatment in intensive care.
