DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday recorded 231 new cases of coronavirus with 256 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. This brings to 117,497 the total number of people recovered in Qatar.
Of the 231 new cases, 220 are community cases and 11 of travellers returning from abroad. All new cases have been placed in isolation and receiving necessary treatment according to their health status.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 120,579 with 2,877 active cases under treatment. So far, 205 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,288 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 667,936 the total tests done so far. There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 49 the total number of cases receiving treatment in intensive care.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary treatment according to their health status.
