Doha: Qatar today recorded 227 new cases of coronavirus and 242 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered to 116,780, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said.
MoPH also reported one death of a 71-year-old person due to Covid. So far, 202 people have died from the coronavirus in the country.
Out of the 227 new cases, 210 are community cases and 17 from travellers returning from abroad.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 119,864 and there are 2882 active cases under treatment. The number of active cases is also witnessing a steady decline.
Ministry conducted 4,725 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 654,973. There are 37 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 51.
