DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Friday recorded 217 new cases of coronavirus with 225 people having recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing to 116,538 the total number of people recovered in the country.
Out of the 217 new cases, 203 are community cases and 14 of travellers returning from abroad. All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary treatment according to their health status.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 119,637 with 2,898 active cases under treatment. So far, 201 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 5,344 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 650,248 the total tests done so far. There have been 38 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 54 the total number of cases currently receiving treatment in intensive care.
