DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday recorded 216 new cases of coronavirus with 228 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 115,895 recoveries in the country.
The Ministry also announced the death of an 81-year-old person who was receiving the necessary medical care.
Of the 216 new cases, 196 are community cases and 20 from travellers returning from abroad. All new cases have been placed in isolation and receiving necessary treatment care according to their health status.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 118,994 with 2,901 active cases under treatment. So far, 198 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,914 tests in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 634,745 tests done till date. There were 37 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases to 65 of people receiving treatment in intensive care.
