DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Thursday recorded 214 new cases of coronavirus with 202 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. This brings to 116,313 the number of people who have recovered in Qatar,
The Ministry also announced deaths of two persons, aged 74 and 79, who were receiving necessary medical care. Of the 214 new cases, 208 are community cases and six from travellers returning from abroad. All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary treatment according to their health status.
The total number of positive Covid 19 cases recorded in Qatar is 119,420 with 2,906 active cases under treatment. So far, 201 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 5.162 tests in the last 24 hours, taking to 644,904 the total number of tests done till date. There have been 40 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 58 the total number of cases receiving treatment in intensive care.
