DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health on Friday recorded 208 new cases of coronavirus while 220 people recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of recoveries to 115,017 in the country. Of the 208 new cases, 198 are community cases and 10 of travellers returning from abroad.
The Ministry announced a 60-year-old person had died, who had been receiving medical care. All new cases have been placed in isolation and receiving necessary treatment according to their health status.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 118,196 with 2,938 active cases under treatment. So far, 196 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 5,096 tests in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 614,354 tests done. There have 46 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus. This brings to 68 the total number of cases receiving treatment in intensive care.
