DOHA: Qatar Insurance has distributed 500 iftar meals to the general public during Ramadan as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Ahead of dusk and before Maghrib prayers, volunteers from QIC patrolled and distributed a total of 500 iftar meals in phases at different locations.
On the first day, iftar meals were handed out at the traffic junction near Souq Waqif. On the second day, they were distributed at Doha Sports Stadium. Each iftar meal was handed out to public along with a small bottle of water.
“Besides spreading the spirit of Ramadan, the initiative also helped us to spread compassion through simple acts of kindness, which resonates well with the principles of the company,” said Ahmed Al Jarboey, Senior Vice President, Mena Retail and Motor of QIC Insured.
