MUSCAT: Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said issued on Tuesday a royal decree to reform the Omani Cabinet.

Oman News Agency (ONA) stated the new Cabinet has Fahad bin Mahmoud Al Said as Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Shihab bin Tariq Al Said as Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Dhi Yazan bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said as Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.

The Sultan also appointed Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi as Minister of the Royal Court; Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani as Minister of the Royal Office; Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi as Minister of Interior; Badr bin Hammad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi as Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi as Minister of Finance and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Salmi as Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.

He also named Mohamed bin Hamad Al Rumhi Minister of Energy and Minerals; Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Obaid Al Saeedi Minister of Health; Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir Al Shaibaniyah Minister of Education; Saud bin Hilal Al-Busaidi Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Saeedi Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs and Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi Minister of Information.

The decree also included Mohammad bin Sultan Al Busaidi as Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi as Minister of State and Governor of Musandam, Salem bin Muhammad Al Mahrouqi as Minister of Heritage and Tourism and Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed AlHabsi as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

The Sultan also named Rahma Al Mahrouqi Minister of Higher Education, Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Saeed bin Muhammad Al Saqri Minister of Economy, Qais Al Youssef Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar Minister of Social Development, Mahad bin Saeed Baouin Minister of Labour and Khalfan Al Shuaili Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
