DOHA: Within the next couple of weeks, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs would be launching the National Employment Platform – Kawader – which would help Qatari nationals with employment.

Kawader is now in the final stages and the Ministry tweeted: “The details of launching the National Employment Platform will soon be announced. It is expected that the platform will be launched during the current week or next week at the latest.”

The platform would expedite implementation of Qatarisation in jobs. Qatar’s Cabinet has approved a draft law to ensure Qataris get 60 per cent of jobs in state-owned private sector companies and 80 per cent in their human resources departments.

The platform would display available vacancies in the public and private sectors and provide an integrated database for jobseekers. It would have provisions for listing academic qualifications and previous job experience. Employers and job seekers would also be able to communicate with each other.

Once Kawader is launched, employers can immediately start conducting personal interviews and end the recruitment procedures for those selected to fill the various vacancies with each employer separately.

The Ministry, represented by the National Human Resources Development Department, would work to follow up the interview process and complete procedures. It would strive to remove any obstacles in the way of recruitment, which would benefit the employer and prospective employee.
