DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday recorded 244 new cases of coronavirus with 240 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 114, 558 who have recovered in Qatar.
Of the 244 new cases, 230 are community cases and 14 from travellers returning from abroad. All new cases have been placed in isolation and receiving necessary care according to their health status.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 117,742 with 2,990 active cases under treatment. So far, 194 people have died from coronavirus in Qatar.
The Ministry conducted 4,665 tests in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 604,112 tests done till date. There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
One patient was admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing to 63 the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care.
