DOHA: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has launched a new package of supply electronic services as part of its efforts toward digital transformation.

They develop the level of government services provided and expand them to contribute to achieving excellence in the performance and speed of completion of transaction, and simplifying them in a way that eliminates the need for personal attendance.

The new package includes nine new services divided into three categories – issuance services, amendment and update services and distributors services.

Cooperation and coordination

Assistant Director of the Department of Supply and Strategic Inventory at MoCI Mubarak Khalifa Al Mohannadi said in a press conference the new electronic services are the result of cooperation and joint coordination with various government agencies and bodies in order to facilitate transactions of MoCI clients.

The Ministry has taken the initiative to design a unified electronic platform for supplying services that achieves integration between the various stakeholders in a way that contributes to relieving pressure on the various branches of the Supply Department.

The department has six branches across the country in Al Shamal, Al Khor, Al Shahaniya, the Industrial Area, Umm Salal and the Ministry offices in Lusail City,

Al Mohannadi referred to the progress made in the field of issuing Tamween (supply) cards. The number of cards has reached over 60,000 cards, while the number of beneficiaries of the supply programme has reached over 391,000 citizens.
