DOHA: As part of World Cleanup Day, which is marked on the third Saturday of September every year, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) honoured a number of cleaning workers in appreciation of their daily efforts in maintaining public cleanliness throughout the country.
The Ministry also organised a campaign to clean Al Wakra Beach, during which waste materials were collected from the beach and removed.
As part of the celebrations, the MME will launch on Friday a competition on the public hygiene law for the public on its social media platforms with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of hygiene and its role in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
