As a way of carrying out its tradition of sharing and keeping the spirit of caring during Ramadan, McDonald’s Qatar recently joined hands once again with Wa’hab, an organisation engaged in programmes and projects to divert surplus food to help feed the less fortunate in society. To show McDonald’s gratitude to workers in Qatar during iftar, they distributed about 1,400 McChicken meals to the labour camp at Abu Nakhla and Street No. 38 in the Industrial Area.

The McChicken meal packages were hand -packed by McDonald’s team from Barwa City, Al Jazeera Petrol Station, Muaither, Mesaimeer, Abu Hamour Petrol Station and 01 Mall  branch and Wa’hab volunteers assisted in distributing to the food to labourer during iftar.

Ghada Kamal, Marketing Manager, McDonald’s Qatar (Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co), said: “Iftar promotes unity and generosity both in action and spirit, which is the true essence of Ramadan.  As a way of giving back to the society in the best possible way, we have partnered with Wa’hab in reaching out to labourers’ accommodations in distributing McChicken meals to break their fast.”

Wardah Mamukoya, Founder, Wa’hab, said: “As part of our activities to join in the spirit of giving, Wa’hab is pleased to partner with McDonald’s for donating McChicken meals to the workers that help build this country.”
