DOHA: India is interested in engaging with the Doha-based Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and work together to promote dialogue between gas consumers and producers.
India is bidding to increase its share of gas in the energy mix as part of commitment to clean energy, Indian Ambassador to Qatar Dr. Deepak Mittal said during a visit to the GECF Secretariat where he was received by GECF Secretary-General Yury Sentyurin.
He was accompanied by Counsellor at the Indian Embassy in Doha T Angeline Premalath. Mittal briefed Sentyurin on the various measures being taken by the Indian government to achieve its commitment to clean energy.
