DOHA: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has allowed all consumer and commercial complexes to extend their working hours without obtaining prior approvals during Ramadan.
All consumer and commercial complexes (hypermarkets, supermarkets, etc.) can extend the work hours to 24 hours a day during Ramadan, calling on the commercial sectors to clearly announce working hours for consumers, the Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The Ministry’s initiative is part of its efforts to stimulate the commercial sector and provide the consumers with the opportunity to choose the right shopping time during the month of Ramadan, when all the commercial and consumer complexes witness a high turnout.
