DOHA: The fourth phase of the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in Qatar is expected to begin on 1 September as scheduled, the Government Communications Office has indicated.
The easing of curbs includes a comprehensive list that will bring life to near pre-Covid levels in the country. Gatherings and entertainment events will be allowed in the fourth phase and 100 percent employees will be allowed in the workplace with strict health precautionary measures in place.
The fourth phase includes permission for all gatherings, like weddings, trade shows and conferences etc; opening of theatres, cinemas, entertainment-related gatherings (with precautions); restricted start of Metro and bus services and permission for excursion boats.
Also, the number of inbound flights will be increased as advised by the Ministry of Public Health. More mosques will be opened for prayers and Friday prayers will be permitted in more mosques across the country.
In the field of sports, summer camps, summer clubs, and summer cultural activities will be allowed. Permission has also been given for sports-related mass gatherings and local and international sports events with spectators.
In the health sector, 100 per cent capacity will be allowed at select private healthcare facilities. All malls, souks, and wholesale markets will be fully open. Museums and libraries will be open for full hours and the gradual opening of restaurants will continue.
Health clubs, gyms and pools will be open to 100 per cent capacity, and so will massage parlours, barber shops and hairdressers. Home services, too, will resume. Schools will resume classes and also private training centres and cleaning and hospitality services.
