Friends Cultural Center (FCC) held an iftar event for the Indonesian community living in Qatar, in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy. Around 600 community membersparticipated in the event, a part of the activities of Qatar Charity’s ‘Baraha’, a special Ramadan programme for expatriates living in Qatar.
The event had several activities for adults and children, including awareness lectures, religious competitions, drawing and colouring contests and a general knowledge competition.
The Indonesian expatriate community members considered it an opportunity to interact with each other, strengthen ties between the members of the community, share views and opinions, exchange ideas and information and promote human values and the values of cooperation and solidarity among the community.
In a statement, Prihandoko, in charge of the Indonesian community, appreciated the cooperation with Qatar Charity’s FCC in organising the iftar table. He noted he receives continuous support from FCC in organising events for the Indonesian community.
