DOHA: Doha Metro and Lusail Tram have announced the launch of Wi-Fi services in Doha Metro stations and trains. Services would be complimentary for 30 minutes a day. Additional use would entail the payment of a fee, the amount of which is yet to be disclosed.
Meanwhile, Qatar Rail tweeted Legtaifiya Station on the Red Line of Doha Metro would open on 1 September. This would complete the 37 stations of the Metro. It falls between Katara and Qatar University stations and is close to The Pearl-Qatar and is one of the interchange stations with Lusail Tram.
Metro services are scheduled to resume on 1 September but would be operated at 30 per cent capacity in Phase 4 of lifting of Covid-9 restrictions.
