DOHA: Doha Bank on Tuesday changed the name of its 100 per cent-owned subsidiary Doha Bank Assurance Company (DBAC) to Sharq Insurance.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, DBAC Chairman Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Jabor Al Thani said DBAC will be operating under the Sharq Insurance name effective from 31 August after securing all the required approvals.

This rebranding will be reflected across all its products and services after the said date along with new logo and visual identity to celebrate the company’s evolution.

The office headquarters would remain on the fourth  floor of Doha Bank Tower in  West Bay. The claims office would be located on the second floor of Doha Bank in Gharafa.

Important milestone

Sheikh Abdul Rahman said: “The company will continue to provide the same business insurance solutions nationwide so to help support individuals, small, medium and large businesses, institutions and the wider Qatari society as the name change is an important milestone in the company’s current rebranding efforts.”

He added: “As Sharq Insurance continues to grow and expand, this new name will more accurately reflect our expansion and product offerings, while maintaining the current image of providing top-quality insurance products and accompanying services. The rebranding has been designed to align our insurance products under one recognisable brand.”

Focus areas

He said throughout its transition, Sharq Insurance would keep its focus on strengthening its carrier network and identifying innovative ways to deliver coverage solutions with increased efficiency and accessibility to help better serve valued customers.
