DOHA: General Authority of Customs inspectors seized a massive quantity of banned ‘tambaku’ (a type of chewing tobacco) at Hamad Port. On a post on their social media handle, Customs said 2,152 kg of ‘tambaku’ was found in 1,435 bags hidden inside a sugar shipment.
The authority has been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country. Customs officers are provided with all means of support, including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
