Birla Public School (BPS) recently organised workshops for teachers a part of its `Continuous Professional Development Programme.’. Workshops were held for different sections considering the requirement of the learners of various age groups.
For Kindergarten teachers, a workshop on ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder’, for Primary teachers a workshop on ‘Classroom Games and Teaching Aids’ and for Middle School, Secondary and Senior Secondary teachers, a workshop on ‘Foundation to Child Psychology’ were organised.
The workshops were headed by facilitators’ of Icon Training Centre, Qatar. The resource persons motivated the teachers to be child-centred, to seek parental support and understand age-appropriate psychology of the learners. Teachers were oriented to identify the signs of psychological disorders at an early age so the children can get help at the earliest.
