DOHA: Indian Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal honoured Indian teachers for their contributions toward academic excellence, efforts in community building, social service and environmental preservation at the Embassy of India Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony.
The ceremony was also streamed live on YouTube. Mittal expressed appreciation for the dedication and devotion of Indian teachers in Qatar while felicitating Rakesh Verma of Birla Public School, Jayanthi Rajagopalan of DPS Modern Indian School and Shakir Hussain of Shantiniketan Indian School.
Mittal advised all Indian schools to focus on the key aspects of India’s National Educational Policy that envisages how technology can be used as a tool for learning. He urged teachers to pursue this technology as a tool to deliver education at the doorstep.
Mittal appreciated the quality of education services extended by the Indian schools and the expectation of opening more schools and higher education institutions in Qatar.
