DOHA: The total population of Qatar increased from 2.48 million in July, 2019 to 2.75 million at the end of July, 2020, according to the monthly bulletin of the Planning and Statistics Authority.
In July this year, 2,152 live births and 269 deaths were recorded. There was a monthly increase in marriage contracts (46.5 per cent) and divorce certificates (188.2 per cent)., 2020. There were 454 marriage contracts and 2019 divorce cases in the month.
Social security reached QR83 million in July, 2020 for 15,324 beneficiaries. Total electricity consumption during the month was 5,471.5 Gwh, a monthly increase of 15.6 per cent compared to June, 2020. Total water consumption reached 61,990.9 cubic metres during the same month, a monthly increase of 3.3 per cent.
